Of course, whilst this software is very easy to both install and initially configure thanks to the automatic set-up explained above, there is still the option to manually configure certain aspects of the Carbonite desktop software should you so require. NB – Whilst Carbonite will attempt to select all files automatically, additional files outside of commonly used locations (such as the current user’s “my Documents” folder) can still be added manually to the backup!
